Thumbnail Sketches
I've created three different thumbnail sketches on A5 size paper where I will then be able to choose and annotate it for my final design.
Final Design
From three of my thumbnail sketches, which is all focusing on Vietnam's famous attractions, I finally came up with a final design in a panorama style where it shows a combination of Vietnam's icons such as lotus flower, Vietnam flag.... However, there are also a combination of famous architectures such as Bitexco Financial Tower, Saigon Times Square building, Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica, Ben Thanh Market... However, I chose to make a panorama so that it would be easier for me to know what to draw on each of the sidea

Deer Painting
This is the last section for this process where I will be apply my final idea design onto the deer with acrylic paint.
STAGE 2: This is after the deer has been fully covered up with a second layer of white acrylic paint since its original color was red. This is a necessary move since it allows me to put on my final design easier with a white base.

STAGE 3: In this lesson, I started to sketch my final design onto my deer from it's left. I only focused on drawing cubism on the significant things first such as the icons and the architectures, where the houses will just be in a quick sketch. I started off from a big tree, in which means as a border or as a divider to separate the scene from the left to the front. Then I continued on sketch some houses and Bitexco in the middle. After that, on the corner of the left side and the deer's bottom, I drew Times Square building. Overall, I've been following my final design sketch quite accurate and haven't change anything yet.
|
STAGE 4: I've managed to finish the drawings of the final design onto four different surfaces of the deer. Through the process, I've changed a few of the objects, like I've removed the Ox from the final design; I've added in a big Vietnam flag at the front as a t-shirt for the deer to wear as I have an idea of transforming my deer into a Vietnamese 'person'. However, I've plan to get it a Nón Lá, too.
